What It Is

Full or Partial Dentures — Fitted for Your Life

Removable dentures remain one of the most widely used and accessible tooth replacement solutions available. A full denture replaces all teeth in an arch; a partial denture fills in gaps while clasping onto existing natural teeth. Both are custom-fabricated to your jaw anatomy and removed for cleaning each day.

At Foundation Dental Center, we don't treat removable dentures as a lesser option. For patients who aren't surgical candidates, those managing budget constraints, or those needing a transitional solution before implants, a well-made, properly-fitted denture makes a real difference in daily life.

  • Full dentures replace an entire upper or lower arch
  • Partial dentures replace multiple teeth while retaining healthy teeth
  • No surgical component — suitable for most patients
  • Custom-fitted to your bone ridge and bite
  • Can serve as a transitional solution before future implant placement

Is This Right for You?

Who Is a Good Candidate for Removable Dentures?

Removable dentures are appropriate for a wide range of patients — from those new to tooth loss to long-term denture wearers seeking a better-fitting replacement.

You're likely a good candidate if you…
  • Are missing all or most teeth in an arch (full denture)
  • Are missing multiple teeth with remaining natural teeth (partial)
  • Are not a candidate for surgical implant placement
  • Need an affordable solution with no healing period
  • Need a transitional appliance while planning for implants
  • Are replacing an old, poorly-fitting denture
Consider an upgrade if you…
  • Find your current dentures are frequently loose or shifting
  • Are avoiding eating certain foods because of instability
  • Have been wearing the same dentures for 5+ years
  • Are interested in snap-in implant support — we can discuss both options

The Process

How Your Removable Denture Is Made

01
Consultation & Extractions

Dr. Pasicznyk evaluates your remaining teeth and tissue health. Any failing teeth are extracted, and we discuss immediate vs. conventional denture timing based on your healing needs.

02
Impressions & Bite Records

Detailed impressions of your arches and a precise bite registration record how your upper and lower jaws relate. These are the foundation of an accurate, comfortable fit.

03
Try-In (if applicable)

For most full dentures, a wax try-in allows you to evaluate the teeth and bite before final processing. Adjustments to tooth position and appearance are made at this stage.

04
Delivery & Follow-Up

Your denture is delivered and adjusted for pressure points and bite. Follow-up visits in the weeks after delivery fine-tune the fit as your tissue adapts.

Why Choose Foundation for Dentures

A Denture Done Right Makes All the Difference

Precision Fitting, Not One-Size

We take the time to record your bite accurately, account for your bone ridge, and verify tooth position at a try-in before finalizing. The result fits from day one — not after months of adjustments.

No Surgery Required

Removable dentures are completely non-surgical. There's no healing period, no anesthesia, and no post-operative discomfort — making this accessible for virtually all patients.

A Path Forward, Not a Dead End

We design removable dentures with future options in mind. If you later want implant support, we can discuss retrofitting or replacing your denture as part of a longer-term treatment plan.

Common Questions

Removable Denture FAQs

A full denture replaces all teeth in an upper or lower arch and rests on the gum tissue. A partial denture replaces multiple teeth when some natural teeth remain — it's held in place by metal or acrylic clasps that attach to the existing teeth. Dr. Pasicznyk will recommend the appropriate type based on your remaining dentition.

Most patients adapt within 4–8 weeks. Speaking and eating feel different at first, and increased saliva production is common early on. These sensations normalize as your tongue and cheeks learn the new anatomy. Adjustment appointments in the first weeks help resolve any pressure points or bite issues.

A well-made denture typically lasts 7–10 years before replacement is needed. As your bone ridge changes over time, the denture may become looser and require a reline — an adjustment to the fitting surface that restores the fit. We recommend a professional evaluation every 1–2 years.

We recommend removing your denture at night when possible. This allows your gum tissue to rest and recover, reduces the risk of oral infections, and prolongs the life of the denture. Soak it in a denture cleaning solution overnight to keep it clean and prevent warping.
